Pizza Hub, a journey to discover the territory that inspires Franco Pepe
An all-digital guide, signed by Viatoribus, tells of an unprecedented tour in which for the first time it will be a pizza to indicate the route.

The starting point - sensorial, metaphysical - is Franco Pepe's pizza . The arrival one is Caiazzo, a small village in the Upper Casertano. In between the stages of a journey between the Matese and the Volturno , to discover the places, souls and landscapes of a generous land rich in values.
An intense experience in flavors, essences, aromas and an unprecedented heritage of knowledge , inspired by the creations of an atypical pizza chef, who boasts international recognition and who reveals, with the skilful touch of his hands, the rare beauties, wild and intact, of a mostly unknown territory.
«Since I was a boy I have seen in the simplicity of a pasta disc and in its infinite variations a powerful narrative capacity. And I had a dream about it ” , Franco Pepe has always said. A testimony collected by Enrico Caracciolo and Stefano Raso - founders of the Viatoribus publishing project - even before the birth of Pepe in Grani, a real research laboratory that Pepe has dedicated to the pizza of his territory.
Around that dream, “Pizza Hub - A journey to discover the territory inspired by Franco Pepe's pizza” was born , a Smart Travel Guide signed by Viatoribus . Which celebrates the hills, the villages, the vineyards, the olive groves to which Pepe has linked his ancient craft with a contemporary vision. Together with the artisans who, in those places, cultivate and transform identity raw materials. Do not miss the itineraries, excursions and recommended experiences.
Pizza Hub is also a project that connects 30 operators in the area , through a training course and co-design workshops an ethical manifesto has already been created. The guide and the manifesto are only the first two actions of a shared “itinerary” that aims to enhance the territory and its excellences in a synergistic way.
Viatoribus has entrusted Margherita Rizzuto and Giuseppe Orefice with the coordination of the co-planning process, while Claudia Orsino and Angelo Rotunno of Love Matese are the representatives of the territory who keep the network operators “aggregated”.
All digital, the Pizza Hub guide is designed to be best used on travelers' smartphones and will be available for free from 22 June 2022, this site will be a reference point for those who want to keep up to date on new initiatives, such as the summer events calendar and experiences to live in the area.
The presentation of the Viatoribus guide will be, by invitation, on 22 June at 10.30 in Caiazzo , in Franco Pepe's laboratory. In the alley of the pizzeria, a review of local excellence, to tell the rich environmental and human biodiversity of the Upper Casertano.
